A repainted SD75M and a SD60M lead the westbound M-SUPMIN (Superior, WI – Minot, ND) out the Devils Lake Sub near Powell, ND.
It’s getting to be late 2008 and the first generation DC-powered widecab EMDs have been mostly pushed off of northern plains coal and have found work elsewhere in BNSF’s vast system, like these two bouncing between Minot and Superior hauling freight. Obviously I would have preferred the SD75M in Warbonnet paint, but the H2 paint they put on these units held up much better over time for some reason than the same paint BNSF applied to the SD70MACs…
